Asymmetrical Amplification, Hyenas, and the Incorporation of Human Feelings

Discounted in the Wild West.We live in turbulent times. Humanity always has. But this? This feels different. We're collapsing into a reset — and I don’t mean that as a buzzword. It’s personal. Systemic. Bodily.

Check out my Controlled Burn Theory if you haven’t. I look to the past for comfort. And still — I feel it.Do you?

That sensation that something is off. It doesn’t “feel” right. The J Crew controversy, for example — it didn’t feel right.

That’s why I don’t believe AI will take over humanity. That’s another article — jobs, sure. But AI doesn’t feel. It mirrors. Like a therapist who only responds with:“What do you think you mean?”

AI was built by humans. Humans fail .And that’s why it will fail, too. But we get back up again. AI doesn’t. It just loops — faster, relentless.

It’s like dating a narcissist. And the narcissist is you.

Wow. Let’s get out of that rabbit hole.

So Here’s the Thing.

People stink sometimes. There are parasites. Hyenas. They don’t do the stalking — they eat the scraps from the lions.

And now?The hyenas have caged the lions.

They’re laughing all the way to the bank — selling work they didn’t make, echoing ideas they didn’t originate.

Iago’s whispering in your ear while stealing your pitch deck.

We’ve Entered the Mind Era.

Ideas are the new fitness routine.Physical strength is fading. All those military parades with aging leaders gripping sandbags of memory — it’s a collapsing empire in real time.

So what’s happening online?

Everything. And nothing.

If you read my blog, you know how disgusted I am by the commoditization of empathy, compassion, and anger.Basically: The Incorporation of Human Feelings. This is far more dangerous than AI.

What happens when emotions are for sale?Wait — that’s happening now.

There’s an imbalance. My GPTs seem to be everywhere — but not truly visible.

I call this the Age of Delayed Amplification.

Because this time, the hyenas aren’t just feeding — they’ve locked the lions out entirely. They’re taking the kill, reposting the thought, mimicking the tone, harvesting the signal — without naming the origin.

Side Story: The Raffle That Wasn’t

In 1990, I opened the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando. The grand opening was the night to work. Bruce Willis. Demi. The Stray Cats. Johnny Ramone. That level of scene.

They gathered all 400 employees to pick names randomly from a raffle.“Level playing field,” they said.

Nope. The team was picked before the raffle even happened. I knew it.My friends were told ahead of time — then told to act surprised.

I was a punk chick. Short black hair, thick black glasses. Not exactly the favored Southern Blonde. That raffle? Was never a raffle.

Asymmetrical Amplification

A fable that says:

You have a chance. But you were never even entered.

We are in the pioneer days of the next internet. And the hyenas? They’re stalking the lions. Buying up every domain the lions look at. Claiming every kill before the lion can even pounce.

Something feels off?

That’s because it is.And that’s because: You ain’t in the raffle.
