The Declaration of Female Dependence

Disclaimer: Hey guys — this isn’t all your fault. It’s part biology, part anthropology, and hurts all of us. Both sexes, all genders — we’ve forgotten how to honor the past, how to listen to our elders. We worship baby musings more than Einstein’s intelligence. We’re in this together. If anything, I’m telling women: stop fooling yourselves.

OK, people, I'm getting annoyed.

Annoyed at all this branding about our victimization.I imagine a world where people knew their history. But I don’t want to bore you — even my family’s eyes glaze over when I bring up the Feminization of Poverty. (Shocker: most people don’t even know what that means. The term was coined in the 1970s to describe how women, especially single mothers, were increasingly pushed into poverty following divorce, wage disparity, and lack of social support.)

They called it free love, but for many women, it meant raising children alone while the man found himself.

They called it sexual liberation, but forgot to mention it came with no childcare, no healthcare, no safety net.

By the time it hit Gen X, “liberation” looked like:• Moms folding sweaters at the department store dressing room to cover rent• Latchkey kids heating microwave dinners• Single moms are being audited harder than their ex-husbands• And working women being told they were empowered, when really, they were just exhausted

We inherited the wreckage. So I was hoping you wouldn’t sell me another glossy version of struggle and call it branding. We’ve been surviving for decades while everyone else sold the story.

WAKE UP.

Not “woke.”

WAKE THE FUCK UP.

Let’s be honest: The only power women still have in this world is how fuckable we are. Face it. (See disclaimer)

I’m not mad about it — it’s biology. And unfortunately, we’re literally weaker than men, so they can kill us. Easily.

But don’t forget: God wasn’t mad when Eve ate the apple. Women are smarter .We have to be to survive.

Watch I, Claudius. (I would say read — but let’s not fool ourselves.)Think of the French courtesans — they kept their jewels, aged out, and still had boy toys.

Women couldn’t even run the NYC Marathon until 1972.

You know how I know that? Because I was raised in it.Yeah. But that’s another story.

And yeah, I’m white — I grew up poor.

And believe me, there’s not one “female empowerment” group that ever let me take out the trash.

Don’t even get me started on how some of these groups used women of color as decoys for their own entitled rise. They created a coat of many colors —Not for real change. But so they could wear it to the Met Gala.

That’s for women of color to write about —I can only tell my story.

Back to the article.

I read a LinkedIn post today, written by a beautiful young woman. She was talking about how AI is hurting women, as most support jobs are held by women — fair enough. And it drove me nuts. Not because she was wrong, but because she has no idea what came before her. (And for all you Gen-Xers - she is a beautiful young woman - you know how they only made movies about “Thin” eating disorders - Belinda has Bulimia, Ann may be Anorexic - but no Cathy weighs a Ton. - Kinda the same vibe - only the “Branded” Victims need apply.)

She didn’t create this mess. She inherited it. But when beauty meets a platform, people listen — even if the story is only half-told.

The women are being platformed now to tell us how AI is victimizing them —They’re young. Pretty. Safe. Whatever looks calms the male urge to fight —Or helps them forget the face of global female victimization.

But here’s the point: Now it’s your turn – Young Ones. Maybe now, you’ll stop mocking older women — and start bonding with them. Because you are growing old before your time.AI is making sure of that.

And now they joke — sweet, pretty, blonde — that “AI doesn’t even know black isn’t my color.”As if that’s the tragedy. As if the greatest flaw in the algorithm is not recognizing how beautiful she is.

But AI didn’t forget her.It was never trained to see us.

This isn’t her fault. Her parents handed her a world already edited — where branding was bravery, and history was “too heavy” to pass down . She didn’t build the system. She just got fluent in surviving it. But by God, we older and wiser have to teach our girls — all our girls — what came before the branding. What we paid. What we lost. What still burns.

Do any of you watch The View? I do .All I see are women — they’re not worried about aging out of the workforce, skipping medication to make rent, or being one bad diagnosis away from losing everything — telling me to do more with less and less.

(Whoopi gets a pass. She still seems like the only one who lives in reality.)

Reality Check for my lovely Gen Zers: Oh, and how long are you going to post those pics from Coachella —In a bikini and UGG boots, with a leather belt, a cowboy buckle - it’s over babydoll.

Yeah. You.

Reality Check for my lovely Boomers — Madonna: What the fuck happened to you? Bum implants?

You should be ashamed of yourself —Not because you aged, but because you are denying that fact that we all age - and that’s fabulous. You sold us out while pretending it was feminism. Bum implants are not a rebellion against ageism —They’re a surrender to irrelevance.

And while we’re talking about what made America “great” —Yes, dumping tea in the harbor was great. It was a rebellion against stolen labor and imposed power. It was about saying: You don’t get to tax us and ignore us.

But now? Our taxes fund the rich, our labor props up a system that pardons white-collar liars like Chrisley —A man who stole from the people while preaching Christian values on TV.

That’s not rebellion. That’s rot.

And fighting fascism — that was greatness. Storming the beaches of Normandy.Putting country before cult. Remember that?

Because now? There’s a cult trying to bring fascism back, wrapped in flags and false nostalgia.

And women? We were never granted full independence —Only allowed to perform it,Until the moment we became inconvenient.

And is AI making even the pretty girls inconvenient?

We’re still fighting to run the marathon. And it’s not a sprint — it’s a slow, brutal race with moving goalposts. Where your looks, your age, your weight — all become weapons used against you. By other women. By the system. By the silence.

Just watch any show — women mocking each other’s age and bodies, not out of cruelty, but conditioning.

But here’s what this marathon is really about:

We are still running just to earn the right to stop. To retire. To rest.To be safe. The way men were promised.

And still, we keep running. Bloody, barefoot, and uninvited.

Because in this world? A woman’s power expires faster than her breath.
